Toon Town Grand Re-Opening is Here!

A new and greatly improved ToonTown reopened on March 19, 2023 in Disneyland! Not only did ToonTown get a much needed makeover, but there are so many fun, new and exciting rides, activities, foods and characters for guests to experience.

ToonTown is the ideal place for our smallest travelers to burn off some extra energy! Upon entering CenTOONial Park, guests can experience several different interactive play experiences. There is now an absolutely stunning new fountain that stars Minnie and Mickey, and it isn't just for looks. There are also sensory friendly water tables to play with! For guests who would rather their kiddos stay dry, there is a tree with “roots” that come out of the ground that children can climb, crawl and walk on! It doesn’t stop here there is also Goofy’s How-To-Play-Yard that allows kids to make lots of fun and exciting noises with various parts of the play yard, there is also Goofy’s House that is full of fun that only Goofy himself could come up with!  Little ones can make a SPLASH at Donald’s Duck Pond full of balance beams and rocking toys and you might even see Donald’s nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie having some fun inside!

“Nothing can stop us now” that we have two new rides in ToonTown! Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened up in September and has quickly become a fan favorite! Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a traditional standby line, and no longer a virtual queue. It doesn’t stop there though! Even some of our smaller guests can now hop into an acorn and ride Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Gadget Coaster, a junior roller coaster imagined after Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Rescue Rangers, that anyone 35 inches or taller can ride!

Enjoy the “Perfect” Picnic and stop by Good Boy! Grocers - allowing guests to get an adorable picnic basket and pick 3 snacks and a drink to fill their basket with! For guests who don’t need an entire Picnic and just a quick snack, this grab and go location has plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from! We recommend grabbing Powerlimes, a sour lime taffy inspired by none other than Powerline himself! For guests who are looking for a full meal or maybe an AMAZING cup of iced coffee - Café Daisy is the place for you! Café Daisy is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and even mobile ordering is available!

Any trip to ToonTown isn’t complete without a stop for souvenirs…at least that's what we tell ourselves! Head on over to EngineEAR Souvenirs to grab some ToonTown exclusive merchandise in addition to all of the Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway items! When visiting make sure to look up - you’ll see a model train on a track above your head!

If you’re concerned about the nostalgia of ToonTown being taken over by new editions we have good news! While yes, you can now meet Clarabelle, Pete and Mickey in his brand new casual outfit, you can still enjoy some old favorites. Guests can still venture into Mickey and Minnie’s houses. And yes! Even the Castle Bound Travel Company experts have pictures as kids in Mickey and Minnie’s houses! Don't forget - guests can also still take a spin on Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
