It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for! Walt Disney World 2024 vacations will start booking on May 31, 2023 and the exciting news doesn’t stop there! We are thrilled to welcoming back some fan favorites beginning January 9, 2024.
Starting January 9, 2024, meal plans will be returning! Walt Disney World is bringing back the Quick Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. The dining plan has always been the ultimate convenience for guests when traveling to Walt Disney World. In the past, the quick service dining plan has included 2 quick service meals per day along with a drink for each meal, two snacks per day and a resort refillable mug for the length of your stay. The Disney Dining Plan included one quick service meal per day with a drink, one table service meal per day with a drink, two snacks per day and a resort refillable mug. Meal credits were based on how many nights you were staying at a resort. For example, if you were spending 5 nights at a resort you would receive 5 days worth of credits. Everyone in a room must have the same meal plan.
Also beginning January 9, 2024, all guests with date-based tickets will not need park reservations! That means if you have purchased a package or just tickets you will not need to make a park reservation to enter the park. Annual Passholders will still be required to make theme park reservations - however be “good to go” days for Annual Passholders in addition to being able to enter the parks without a reservation after 2PM - with the exception of Magic Kingdom on Saturdays and Sundays. "Good to Go" days will be specific days that Annual Passholders DO NOT need park reservations.
Resort guests will continue to receive early entry to Walt Disney World parks for 2024. Deluxe Resort guests will also continue to enjoy special evening hours in the parks. Keep your eye out for some changes to Genie+ for 2024. Disney is in the process of simplifying Genie+ to allow guests to plan ahead!
