The Practically Perfect Resort for your Next Vacation

A "practically perfect" vacation awaits at the stunning and sophisticated Victorian-style resort, The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Located directly on the monorail loop, guests are greeted by the resident maestro playing a grand piano while being immediately swept away into the elegance of the Victorian era.

The Grand Floridian is currently going through a refurbishment that will leave it more grand than ever before. The lobby is currently undergoing renovations section by section, so guests may hear the sounds of the resort's reimagination period during the day.

Guest Rooms

The Grand Floridian is nothing short of grand; guest rooms have recently been reimagined. Rooms are inspired by none other than Mary Poppins. When choosing a room, guests will get to choose between resort view, water view, theme park view, and club level. Resort Rooms are spacious with two queen-size beds and a daybed to comfortably sleep 5, or one king and a double sleeper sofa, or one king and a daybed. These rooms boast spacious vanities with plenty of space to get ready before a long day in the parks. For larger parties, there are also one-bedroom suites that sleep up to 6 and two-bedroom suites that sleep up to 8 available. For guests who prefer to have some of the comforts of home on their vacation, a Deluxe Studio or Villa is a great alternative. Studios sleep up to 5 with a queen-size bed, a queen-size murphy bed, and a single pull-down bed. Studios also give guests the opportunity to warm up food and keep food cold with an in-room kitchenette equipped with a small refrigerator and a microwave. Villas are a great accommodation for large groups with a full kitchen, in-suite washer and dryer, and a small dining area. One-bedroom villas sleep up to 5 adults while a two-bedroom villa sleeps up to 9 adults. There are also a "spoonful" of 3-bedroom Grand Villas that are great for large parties and sleep up to 12 adults with four bathrooms.

Pools

The Grand Floridian has an impressive feature pool known as the Beach Pool. Slip and slide down the 181-foot long water slide that even zips guests under a walking bridge before they're shot into the pool. Adults and kids will both enjoy this slide that overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon. For the smallest travelers, there is a fun aquatic play area nearby with slides fit for the smallest travelers, along with geysers, fountains, and plenty of room to splash. The Beach Pool is where guests can find daily cast member-led recreational activities such as trivia, dance parties, and relays. Beaches Pool Bar and Grill is located poolside and is a gazebo-style bar that mixes up the perfect poolside drinks and serves some delicious shrimp sliders. They're open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM. For the ultimate poolside experience, cabanas are available to rent.

For guests that prefer a more laid-back atmosphere to soak in the sun, the Courtyard Pool is a great alternative with zero entry. The Courtyard Pool is conveniently located behind the main building at the resort and is accompanied by whirlpool spas. Complimentary towels are provided at both pools. The Courtyard Pool Bar is conveniently located poolside to grab a drink or quick snack, chicken wrap, or a hotdog without having to leave the pool area.

Transportation

The Grand Floridian is conveniently located on the monorail loop. Upon boarding the monorail, you will make stops at Magic Kingdom, The Contemporary Resort, The Ticket and Transportation Center, and the Polynesian Village Resort. To get to Epcot, guests can transfer to a second monorail at the Ticket and Transportation Center. Keep in mind that to board the monorail, all guests must go through security as if they were entering a park. A water taxi is also available to bring guests to the Magic Kingdom and the Polynesian Village Resort. Complimentary bus service is available to Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs.

Resort Recreation

There is no shortage when it comes to things to do on your vacation at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Guests can take to the Seven Seas Lagoon and rent a motorized boat, cast a line and spend the morning fishing, or even board a specialty cruise during the fireworks. All of which can be booked by your travel expert 60 days prior to your arrival. Nightly movies Under the Stars are located at the Summerhouse on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights.
