There is another new ship on the horizon for Disney Cruise Line. The Disney Destiny will be sailing her maiden voyage in December 2025. The newest ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet is inspired by the incredible stories of Disney’s heroes and villains. The villain and hero theme will feature movies like The Lion King, Hercules, The Incredibles, and One Hundred and One Dalmatians. The ship will also include nods to popular Marvel and Pixar stories.
For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, guests will marvel at a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. The signature stern character will be none other than Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots. From the second guests enter the Grand Hall, they will be swept away into the rich and distinctive world of heroes and villains featuring Marvel Studios' Black Panther films. Guests will be greeted by a stunning statue of T’Challa, The Black Panther: King of Wakanda.
Rotational Dining
Rotational dining onboard the Disney Destiny will feature dinner and a show. Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King will be the first of its kind! Guests will enjoy live music played using authentic African instruments and storytellers who use theatrical props to retell Simba’s heroic journey, all while enjoying a delicious meal.
Marvel will once again be making an appearance in the dining rotation onboard the Disney Destiny. Save the Galaxy with Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy and eat to the beat of an awesome mix of hit songs. This dining experience will keep the whole family immersed during dinner with trivia and activities.
Last but not least, 1923 will be the third rotational dining experience on the Disney Destiny. 1923 is already onboard the Wish and will also be on the Treasure. This restaurant is named after the founding year of The Walt Disney Company and celebrates the legacy of Disney in a luxurious setting that showcases the tales of heroes and villains such as Hercules, Sleeping Beauty, Big Hero 6, and Wreck-It Ralph.
Bars and Lounges
There will be a whole lot of “spots” onboard the Disney Destiny in the new glamorous adults-only Piano Bar. This new Cruella De Vil piano bar is sure to be a lavish affair, inspired by the movies One Hundred and One Dalmatians and Cruella. Cruella, being the fashion icon that she is, heavily influences the aesthetic of the lounge that wouldn’t be complete without a spotted piano.
If drinking like a pirate is a must on your next sailing, look no further than Cask and Cannon. Indulge in a large selection of specialty rums and brews developed specifically for this pub. This Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired pub is the perfect local watering hole, inspired by the voyages on the high seas. Cask and Cannon will offer several screens for guests to watch live sporting events during their sailings.
Foolish mortals are welcome to sit back, relax, and enjoy some “spirited” craft cocktails at the Haunted Mansion Parlor, inspired by the Disney Parks ride The Haunted Mansion. This will be the second Haunted Mansion Parlor to grace Disney Cruise Line with its presence, the first making its debut onboard the Disney Treasure this coming December.
The Sanctum is going to be a centrally located lounge inspired by Doctor Strange. This lounge will boast a menu full of cocktails, spirits, and coffees and will also feature entertainment along with unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum.
Cafés and Sweet Shops
Edna Mode is notorious for creating some pretty incredible super suits, but onboard the Disney Destiny she’ll be whipping up some treats in Edna à la Mode Sweets. This incredible dessert spot will offer gelato, ice cream, cookies, candy, and specialty treats.
If you need a little bit of extra fuel to start your day or even throughout the day, two casual walk-up cafés will have all of the coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and snacks that any hero needs. Café Megara is inspired by Hercules, and Café Merida is inspired by none other than Merida from the movie Brave.
Guests who would like to sail on the newest Disney Cruise ship will be able to begin booking sailings on September 12th, 2024. Historically, Castaway Club members along with select groups such as Club 33 members, Disney Vacation Club members, and Golden Oaks residents are given advanced booking windows to book new sailings.
