What’s the perfect relaxing, but kid-friendly destination for your next trip? Look no further, Aulani is a tropical paradise located in Ko’ Olina on the island of Oahu. Aulani immerses guests in both Disney magic and the local Hawaiian culture. Aulani is home to some of the most unique food items at a Disney Resort.

Everything tastes better when Mickey-shaped Aulani is a foodie's dream, but let's be honest, the best part of some of these foods is that they're shaped like Mickey! While, yes, we know anything that is shaped like Mickey automatically tastes better, these items blew us out of the water! There's nothing better than some shaved ice on a hot day! Check out Papulua Shave Ice for tropical shaved ice. For just an extra $1, you can “enhance” your shaved ice experience and turn it into the shape of Mickey! If it's a warm day, you may have to start with the ears because they melt quickly! By far, the most popular food item at Aulani is the Mickey Musubi! If this is a must-try on your next trip to Aulani, we highly recommend making that a stop earlier in the day because they do sell out! Mickey Musubi is located at the Ulu Cafe, but it is only available during lunchtime! Musubi is a traditional Hawaiian staple that includes a slice of seasoned grilled spam on top of a block of rice wrapped together with nori.

Ulu Cafe While Ulu Cafe is home to the infamous Mickey Musubi, they have so much more to offer! This cafe is located on the first floor of the resort adjacent to the Wailana Pool. This cafe is full of self-serve items and cooked-to-order options. Breakfast includes acai bowls, eggs, and sandwiches, while lunch and dinner include pizzas, sandwiches, and even poke bowls. Their Poke Bowl is truly what dreams are made of! The best part of the Poke bowl is you can customize it to your liking. Dinner also includes rotating hot meal options such as short ribs.

Off The Hook Off the Hook is a covered lounge that serves casual dining options located near the pool. They also have a full-service bar and serve tropical cocktails. Off the Hook serves breakfast in the morning that includes Mickey waffles, eggs, breakfast potatoes, and other crowd-pleasers. Poolside options are available during the day. Poolside offerings include burgers, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. Guests can choose to order in person or mobile order in advance.

Olelo Room Olelo is Hawaiian for “to converse,” and this lounge gives guests the perfect opportunity to do just that! The lounge is beautifully decorated with wooden carvings, and everything has signage that tells you what its Hawaiian name is, along with bartenders that are more than happy to help with the pronunciation! It’s the perfect place to do a little bit of learning on your vacation while enjoying delicious appetizers and drinks. The menu features classic fresh island ingredients in their sushi, sashimi, and chef’s creations. We highly recommend trying their sushi and tacos!
