Navigating Walt Disney World with Food Allergies

Walt Disney World excels at prioritizing the needs of its guests, ensuring everyone can have a magical experience. Guests with allergies can enjoy a stress-free vacation, knowing the dedicated culinary staff goes above and beyond to provide an enjoyable and unforgettable dining experience. Both table-service restaurants and quick-service locations are more than happy to accommodate allergies, even when they aren’t explicitly noted on the menu.

Quick Service

Most quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World offer allergy-friendly meals. Every quick-service location, whether it serves full meals, snacks, or drinks, provides access to an allergy binder. This binder contains a detailed list of ingredients for each menu item. Guests are encouraged to request the allergy binder before placing an order.

We highly recommend speaking directly with a chef when placing your order to ensure your meal is prepared safely and accurately. Chefs are always happy to assist, offering guidance and crafting a meal that accommodates your specific needs.

Table Service Restaurants

When booking a table-service meal in advance, you have the option to indicate any allergies for your party. This helps the restaurant prepare for your visit. Upon arrival, the host will ask about allergies if they are not already noted on your reservation. If allergies are listed, they will confirm the details.

Once seated, a chef will visit your table to discuss the menu, suggest substitutions, and ensure your meal meets your dietary requirements. When your food arrives, it will include an allergy marker for added reassurance.

Contrary to popular belief, guests with allergies don’t need to avoid buffets at Walt Disney World. After being seated, a chef will personally guide the allergy guest through the buffet, pointing out safe options. Additionally, chefs can prepare custom dishes, which will be delivered directly to your table.

Mobile Ordering

One of the most convenient ways to order food at Walt Disney World is through the mobile order feature in the My Disney Experience app. The app makes navigating menus seamless, with categories like beverages, entrées, plant-based options, and allergy-friendly items. By selecting the allergy-friendly icon, you can access a menu tailored to specific dietary needs.

Allergy-friendly categories include:

  • Gluten/Wheat Allergies

  • Egg Allergies

  • Fish/Shellfish Allergies

  • Milk Allergies

  • Peanut/Tree Nut Allergies

  • Sesame Allergies

  • Soy Allergies

For guests managing multiple allergies, we recommend placing your order directly at the restaurant. This ensures your meal is prepared with the utmost care and safety.
