It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Magic Kingdom! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off the holiday season on November 8th and runs on select nights through December 20th. This special ticketed event begins at 7 PM, but guests can start enjoying Magic Kingdom as early as 4 PM without needing a daytime theme park ticket. Entertainment abounds at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, with exclusive character meet-and-greets, shows, parades, and even holiday treats and beverages.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Shows and Parades
Head to Cinderella’s Castle for two enchanting stage shows. First, enjoy Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a yuletide stage show featuring Mickey and his pals. This performance takes place during the party at 7:40 PM, 9:25 PM, 10:35 PM, and 11:55 PM. Historically, the last show of the night is the least crowded, while the first and 10:35 PM shows are the most popular. Guests can also join Elsa as she transforms Cinderella’s Castle into a frozen wonderland during Frozen Holiday Surprise at 8:15 PM.
This year introduces an earlier parade time. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will take place at 8:30 PM and 11:00 PM. The earlier 8:30 parade is perfect for families with little ones, who might fall asleep in their strollers. The parade route starts in Frontierland, passes in front of Cinderella’s Castle, and ends on Main Street USA. Be sure to stay until the end of the parade—Santa Claus makes a grand appearance to wish everyone a Merry Christmas alongside Mickey and friends! For those who prefer a little more room, we recommend watching the parade in Frontierland.
At 10:00 PM, enjoy a spectacular nighttime show hosted by Minnie Mouse. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show lights up the night sky with projections, lasers, and fireworks. While the fireworks are visible throughout most of Magic Kingdom, the best view of the projections is in front of Cinderella’s Castle or on Main Street USA.
Dance Parties
Head to Cosmic Ray’s for the Disney Junior Jingle Jam, the perfect spot to relax, grab a snack, and let your kids dance with characters like Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and The Lion Guard. Cosmic Ray’s also offers special food options exclusive to the party. Check the My Disney Experience app for scheduled performance times.
Club Tinsel, located at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland, offers another great dance party, where you can bust a move with various holiday characters who join the fun.
Attractions
During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, several attractions get festive makeovers. In Tomorrowland, two rides feature holiday enhancements: Space Mountain has festive lighting and music, while the Tomorrowland Speedway is decked out with thousands of holiday lights and a special soundtrack. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor also features a seasonal show. Meanwhile, in Fantasyland, the Mad Tea Party offers four different holiday music and lighting combinations, and the Jingle Cruise—a holiday twist on the Jungle Cruise—can be enjoyed both during regular park hours and during the party. Most rides remain open throughout Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and operate via a traditional standby line, with no virtual queues. This is a great opportunity to enjoy rides like TRON: Lightcycle Run and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure with shorter wait times.
Memory Maker
Dress in your holiday best and take advantage of the exclusive photo opportunities available throughout Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. PhotoPass photographers will be stationed around the park to capture all your magical moments. With Magic Kingdom decked out in stunning holiday decor, it’s the perfect backdrop for your Christmas card photos!
