Opening night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party knocked our spooky socks off! While there may be crowds, there are TONS of fun new additions to this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Guests with a party ticket can enter the park beginning at 4 PM, but lines begin to form around 2 PM outside the main entrance! If you’re an annual passholder or have a park ticket for the day of the party, you can enter the park anytime you would like to! The right-hand side of the entrance is a “holding” area for Party guests waiting to scan in for the party, while the left side is for guests with daytime park tickets.
Guests with an annual pass or park ticket that are already inside the park can skip the lines at the front entrance. There are three different locations within the park where you can pick up your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party wristband. Just keep in mind that you will need to scan your MagicBand, ticket, or My Disney Experience app.
Wristbands can be picked up at:
Fantasy Faire Gift Shop in Fantasyland (located near Mickey’s PhilharMagic)
Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland
Across from Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland (The old Stitch’s Great Escape)
All three wristband distribution locations also distribute trick-or-treating bags that currently have a full-size bag of M&Ms in them! Have no fear if you have any allergies and are attending the party! For guests with allergies, there are teal trick-or-treat bags available. They can be picked up at the same location as the other trick-or-treat bags; just let the cast member know that you would like an allergy-friendly bag. Guests with allergies can still trick-or-treat, and instead of receiving candy at the trick-or-treat locations, they can collect tokens. These tokens can be redeemed at Allergy-Friendly Centers in Liberty Square and on Main Street USA. These allergy-friendly centers offer a variety of allergy-friendly treats to choose from when redeeming tokens.
Make sure to have all your memories photographed by a PhotoPass photographer! During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there are so many different PhotoPass locations up and down Main Street USA leading up to the castle. Exclusively during the party, guests can add a bit of extra magic to their pictures by asking the photographer to take a “Magic Shot,” where the photographer will pose you and add a little bit of extra magic to your photo!
These lines can be long, but it’s worth it to be dancing like a spooky, scary skeleton. While waiting for the "Boo To You Parade," PhotoPass photographers will make their way up Main Street USA with props that you can be photographed with, so have your MagicBand ready! There are additional photo opportunities throughout the Magic Kingdom; there are frames throughout the park that are all themed differently! Our favorite is a nod to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride located in Tomorrowland and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in Adventureland! During the party, PhotoPass photographers will be here to take your picture, but feel free to take your own photos with them during all park hours!
A not-so-spooky added bonus to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that party-goers can ride TRON! At 6 PM, anyone with a party ticket can attempt to get into a virtual queue that is exclusive to the Halloween Party! Just keep in mind that if you get a virtual queue boarding group, you must get to the ride and scan in within the hour of your group being called, regardless of what activities you want to do! We noticed that cast members aren’t giving much of a buffer on that hour, so if you aren’t back within your window, you will forfeit your boarding group.
