Hit the Green at Walt Disney World

There are so many different activities to do in Walt Disney World, from archery to horseback riding to even riding a Segway... but did you know Walt Disney World is home to FOUR Arnold Palmer Golf Courses? These courses have even hosted PGA tournaments! Whether you're traveling with a professional golfer, amateur golfer, or even kids that would like to golf their first round, there’s a course for everyone.

Magnolia Golf Course

Located on the outskirts of the Polynesian Village Resort and Shades of Green Resort, just a short distance from Magic Kingdom, is the longest Walt Disney World Golf Course. Magnolia Golf Course is an Arnold Palmer operated course that is in the process of being completely reimagined and is currently only allowing guests to play 14 holes due to maintenance being done on the rest of the course. This course boasts Bermuda grass and new teeing grounds, and it should be completely reopened by the end of 2023. This is a great opportunity to save a little bit of money for amateurs that aren't wanting to golf an entire course, because Disney is offering a 33% discount for anyone golfing the limited course.

Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course

Watch out for a hidden Mickey sand trap located at Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. This 18-hole course is located near Saratoga Springs Resort in the Disney Springs Resort area. This course has hosted the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour, along with several USGA events. Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is known for its classic country club style course that has a very demanding 7th hole with a challenging island green.

Disney’s Palm Golf Course: Challenge yourself and tee off on the Palm Golf Course that was designed by none other than the Arnold Palmer Design Company. This is an 18-hole championship course that includes 9 holes with hazards, so even confident and experienced golfers will be challenged! This course is located in the Magic Kingdom resort area near the Shades of Green Resort.

Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course

Operated by Arnold Palmer Management, Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course is a 9-hole walking course to put your skills to the test. Holes range from 132 yards to 517 yards from the white tees. This course is fun for the whole family and offers Junior Tees for younger golfers. Regular golf carts are not allowed on this course, but pull carts can be rented for $9 per person per round.

What if I didn’t pack my golf clubs? Stop by a pro shop and test out a new set of clubs that you've had your eye on. Guests can rent clubs and golf carts at each course. Just keep in mind that guests are required to wear a collared shirt while golfing; in the event you didn't bring one on your vacation, there are plenty available to purchase in the pro shop. Suitable shoes are also required, but men and women golf shoes are available to rent for $10. Annual passholders and DVC members may also receive a discount.
