Harmony Barber Shop is the ultimate location for a child to get their first hair cut & it may actually just be the best bang for your buck on Walt Disney World property! For just $28, the My First Haircut experience gives your child their first hair cut, their own mickey ears hat, a certificate and even a little bit of pixie dust! Buying a Mickey Hat in any store at Walt Disney World will run you about $30 on its own! And yes moms…they will even package up a lock of your child’s hair to commemorate the occasion.
We were absolutely blown away by how patient and compassionate these cast members are! They go above and beyond to make this an enjoyable experience for children, they even have toys to occupy them during their haircut. The best part is the lovely Cast Members encourage the child's family to take all of the pictures and videos that they would like to remember the occasion, they’ll even tell you the best spot to stand to capture the “big reveal” in the mirror!
For you adults wondering if you can visit the Barber Shop yourself, the answer is yes! They do haircuts and beard trims! A standard children’s haircut starts at $20 while an adult haircut starts at $21. For the men who want just a beard trim, those begin at just $8. We can’t recommend these experiences enough. They may give your local barber a run for their money, because the experience combined with their pricing can’t be beat! You may just find yourself planning regular Disney trips just for the amazing haircuts!
When it comes to appointments they are HIGHLY recommended. Appointments may be available on a walk up basis but those tend to be few and far between, so if this is a must do on your next trip, we highly recommend making an appointment right at your 60 day booking window. Your travel expert will be more than happy to reserve an appointment for you also! There are only three chairs in the entire barber shop and they fill up rather quickly.
