Golfing Fun for the Whole Family at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World has some pretty incredible golf courses for travelers who like to hit the green on their vacations. Mini Golf is always a fun family-friendly activity that is super nostalgic for parents and brings back memories from when they were kids! Walt Disney World has three different options when it comes to mini-golf, but it doesn’t stop there; guests can even play foot golf on their next Walt Disney World vacation.

Located within walking distance of the Boardwalk Resort, Yacht and Beach Club, and Swan and Dolphin is the Fantasia Gardens and Fairways miniature golf course. There are two different 18-hole miniature golf courses that are inspired by the Disney classic animated film Fantasia. The whole family can enjoy the Fantasia Miniature Golf Course that has twirling obstacles and lots of fountains.

For the golfer who likes a little bit of a challenge, we recommend checking out the Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf Course; it's a challenging course full of sand traps, bunkers, water hazards, and sloping greens. Keep in mind when choosing your course what time it is, the Fantasia Fairways Miniature Golf Course closes an hour before the Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course.

Trick your mind into cooling off at the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course that is located just steps away from Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park. The Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course has two different 18-hole courses for guests to choose from. The Winter Course ventures through the North Pole and is full of peppermints, snowmen, and even a melting castle; I guess the Orlando Heat is starting to affect the castle! Pay close attention as you finish up on the 18th hole; there may be a special message from the big man himself! The Summer Course is Christmas in July at its finest with surfboards and palm trees. Both courses are relatively easy courses and are perfect for kids at any age.

Head on over to the Oak Trail Golf Course and try out a new family-friendly activity: FootGolf. This 9-hole footgolf course takes roughly an hour and a half to complete for a family of four. Footgolf has a similar concept to soccer, and anyone is welcome to play as long as they can kick a soccer ball! Like traditional golf, the goal is to get the soccer ball into the hole, but beware there are bunkers and hazards like there are in golf. To play, guests must wear sneakers or indoor soccer shoes. Tee times are available, just let your travel expert know that you are interested in playing, and they’ll be happy to reserve you a tee time. To book a tee time yourself, make a reservation through wdwgolf.com. Tee times are less than $30 per person.
