Egg-citing Ways to Celebrate Easter in WDW!

Spring has Sprung and Walt Disney World is in full swing when it comes to Easter activities, decorations and food. The best part is you don’t even need a park ticket to enjoy most of the Easter festivities. And yes, annual Passholders we know quite a few of you are currently blocked out!

Resorts are beautifully decorated for Easter and three resorts in particular have phenomenal Easter Egg Displays that look good enough to eat… And they are in fact edible! These absolutely stunning painted eggs are all chocolate eggs that have been sculpted and painted by each resort's pastry team.

Located on the 4th floor of the Contemporary Resort, Pastry Chef Jess Barnes and his team created a beautiful arrangement of chocolate eggs. They are inspired by the brand new ride TRON, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Mickey Mouse Popcorn Buckets.

The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa per usual is a grand experience. They even have a LIFESIZE Easter Egg of Kevin from the movie Up! Kevin even has some baby chicks by her feet. The Grand Floridian even has an “unfinished” Easter Egg that has been sculpted and outlined. Guests can watch as a Culinary Cast Member works on intricately painting a larger than life egg.

It doesn’t stop there. There are also eggs themed after all of our favorites like Encanto, Marvel and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. If all of this chocolate makes you hungry, The Grand Cottage is set up with lots of delicious treats! This pop up location is full of pastries like the Easter staple Hot Cross Buns, Carrot Cake, chocolate eggs and plenty more.

In the EPCOT resort area, Disney’s Beach Club Resort has a beautiful display designed by Pastry Chef, Michael Craig. With Beach Club being just steps away from EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival, it’s only fitting that they put a Flower and Garden spin on their Eggs. There is even a Tiana Topiary Easter Egg, and of course anything themed after Epcot has to include our favorite dragon Figment!

A short walk away at EPCOT, guests can purchase the Egg-Stravaganza for $9.99 that includes a map and stickers. These maps can be found at Disney Traders, Pin Central and World Traveler. Guests will follow the map and search for hidden Easter Eggs throughout the World Showcase that are hidden in different countries and are decorated just like some of our favorite characters. Don’t worry if you get stumped on finding one, feel free to ask a cast member and they should be able to give you a clue! Once you find an egg, you will mark it with the corresponding sticker! Upon completion head on over to Disney Traders for an egg-citing surprise!
