Walt Disney World Makes Gluten-Free Dining EasyMaintaining a gluten-free diet while on vacation at Walt Disney World has never been easier. Disney goes above and beyond to ensure every guest has a magical dining experience at their restaurants. Almost every table-service and quick-service restaurant at Walt Disney World offers gluten-free options or can create a dish tailored to meet gluten-free dietary needs. When ordering, you can always request to speak with a chef to ensure your meal is prepared safely and that a specific dish can be modified to be gluten-free.
Quick-Service Restaurants
Sometimes, it’s more convenient to grab a quick meal while exploring the parks. Disney makes it simple to maintain a gluten-free diet on the go. Using the My Disney Experience app, guests can pre-order and filter menus at quick-service locations to meet their dietary needs. Simply select the “Allergy-Friendly” icon, then choose the Gluten-Free option. This will display all menu items that can safely be made gluten-free.
If a quick-service location does not offer mobile ordering, you can inquire about gluten-free options at the register. You can also ask to see an allergy binder, which outlines the ingredients and gluten-free status of each dish.
Table-Service Restaurants
Dining at table-service restaurants at Walt Disney World is one of the easiest ways to ensure your dietary needs are met. When making a reservation through the app, there is an option to note any dietary restrictions, including gluten allergies. Upon arrival, the host will confirm the allergy, and both a chef and your server will visit your table to discuss gluten-free options. They can also advise which menu items can be modified, such as substituting a traditional bun with a gluten-free version or swapping regular pasta for gluten-free pasta.
At buffets, chefs are happy to guide guests through the buffet line, pointing out gluten-free options and even preparing additional gluten-free dishes, which will be delivered directly to your table. Your meal will arrive marked with an allergy tag to indicate it is gluten-free.
