Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend

Updated: Jan 27

For the first time in FOREVER, runDisney will be returning to the Disneyland Resort in California from January 11, 2024, through January 14, 2024! This weekend kicks off on January 11th with Sunrise Yoga and the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo, followed by the 5K on January 12th, kid races, and the 10K on January 13th, and the Half Marathon on the 13th! Arguably the most exciting part of this race is that it is a part of the Coast to Coast Challenge. To complete the Coast to Coast Challenge, runners must complete a half marathon at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland!

EXPO Head to the Disneyland Hotel Exhibit Hall during the Expo to pick up all of your commemorative merchandise for this race weekend. To purchase merchandise at the runDisney Expo, all shoppers on Thursday will need to join the virtual queue at 7 AM. During the remainder of the expo, the virtual queue will be utilized on an as-needed basis. However, runners do not need to join the virtual queue to pick up their bibs and shirts, only to shop. The Expo will be open Thursday from 10 AM to 8 PM, Friday from 12 PM to 8 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. Prior to heading to the Expo, all participants must have completed their waiver and bring either a screenshot of their Expo Check-In Pass or a printed copy to get their race bib.

Events Sunrise Yoga will start the weekend off at 5 AM PST in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. We are so excited about the kids races at 10 AM on January 13! The kids races are for children up to the age of 9 and will be broken down by age groups; there is even a Diaper Dash for crawlers – this will arguably be the cutest race of the weekend! The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon all have a start time of 5 AM. We highly recommend arriving early to give yourself plenty of time to get to your corral, take photos, and enjoy the pre-race festivities.

Challenges The Dumbo Double Dare Challenge kicks off on January 13 at 5 AM. The Dumbo Double Dare is for racers who are completing both the 10K and the Half Marathon back to back. These runners will receive an additional medal for their challenge! The Coast to Coast Challenge will also be taking place! This is for runners who have run a 10-miler or more on each coast in the same calendar year! That means you must run either the Marathon weekend half Marathon or full marathon, Princess half marathon, Springtime Surprise 10-miler, or the Wine and Dine Half Marathon and also run the Disneyland Half Marathon or the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon to qualify for this challenge.
