Disney's Wilderness Lodge

For guests who love the outdoors and a rustic, relaxing destination - The Wilderness Lodge makes the perfect home away from home during yourWalt Disney World vacation. Located just a quick 5 minute drive away from Magic Kingdom or a 10 minute boat ride from the resort's private dock, getting to the park couldn’t be more convenient!

Rooms

While staying in this quiet relaxing resort - guests often forget that they are visiting Walt Disney World when it comes to the views they have from their resort rooms. Views vary from a "Nature Fireworks View" that allows guests to enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks from their balcony or patio, a "Nature View" that overlooks the beautifully manicured resort grounds, a "Courtyard View" of one of the resort's courtyards or a "Standard View" that overlooks different aspects of the resort. When it comes to the type of room guests have the option between a Resort Room with a single king sized bed or two queen sized beds.

If you're wanted to add a little extra magic to your stay - we highly recommend upgrading your stay to a Club Level Room. The Old Faithful Club offers topnotch Cast Members who are available to assist you in any way possible in the Club Level's private lounge. Guests will have access all you can enjoy breakfast, snacks, hor d'oeuvres and desserts in addition to soda, juice, coffee, beer, wine and cordials that are all included in the price of their room. Not to mention that the Old Faithful has an amazing balcony that offers some incredible views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

When it comes to rooms, guests have the option of a Standard Room that can sleep from two to four adults with either a single King sized bed or two queen sized beds. For larger parties, there are Deluxe rooms that sleep up to six adults with two queen sized beds and one queen size sleeper sofa.

Transportation

The Wilderness Lodge has a private boat dock conveniently located near the Copper Creek Cabins for guests to quickly and efficiently get over to Magic Kingdom. When it comes to getting to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs, bus transportation is available for guests. The bus stop is located to the left of the entrance of the Lodge.

Pools

The Wilderness lodge offers two AMAZING pools for guests to take advantage of! The Copper Creek Springs Pool is where guests can participate in daily pool parties, pool games, trivia, relays and other fun Cast Member lead poolside activities. The Copper Creek Springs Pool is heated and is also home to a 67 foot water slide that is built into the rocks and boy - does that slide get some speed!

For our younger travelers, there is also a children's water play area located in the Copper Creek Springs Pool area in addition to whirlpool spas. The second pool at the Wilderness Lodge is the Boulder Ridge Cove Pool which is a zero entry leisure pool that offers a more calm and relaxing atmosphere. In addition to lounge chairs on the pool deck there are also six shaded seating areas that are available for guests that are on a first come first serve basis.

Dining

Quick Service

Geyser Point by far is one of the Castle Bound Travel Experts favorite quick service locations at Walt Disney World! Geyser Point is open daily from 11AM to 11PM and offers a menu full of small plates and entrees/sandwiches. Start your meal with their cheesy barbecue brisket that is served with chips and follow it with their Bison Burger or Grilled Portobello Salad and you won’t even believe you are eating a quick service meal! Their drinks are also topnotch and there is almost always a fun seasonal cocktail offering - just ask their friendly bartenders!

Roaring Forks is the resort's main quick service restaurant that serves a hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner. For lunch and dinner, the menu has plenty of barbecue and comfort food options in addition to burgers and sandwiches. For a lighter option they offer some incredible salads such as the Heirloom Tomato Salad which is worth ordering for the burrata.

Table Service Dining

Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is a character dining experience where guests get the opportunity to meeting Snow White, The Evil Queen, Grumpy and Dopey and it is open for dinner daily. Guests can choose from a Price Fix menu where shareable appetizers and desserts are brought to the table and each guest picks their own entree.

Whispering Canyon is located in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge and is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.  The restaurant is known for its affordable all you care to enjoy skillets, and is an experience all in itself, don’t forget to ask for ketchup! (You may end up with a dozen or so bottles!)

Lounge

The Territory Lounge is a rustic lodge style bar that makes guests feel right at home. Their menu recently underwent some changes and now features small plates like a hanging cheese and charcuterie board, bacon on a wire and loaded baked potato flatbreads. Drinks are carefully thought out and prepared like their S’more Old Fashion. It's a great place to unwind after a long park day.

Recreation

There is no shortage of things to do for fun when it comes to the Wilderness Lodge. Nightly movies under the stars start at 8PM and are located on the lawn between the Marina and Geyser Point. Before the nightly movie, stop by the Campfire and roast some complimentary marshmallows at the fire pit. Feel free to also stop by the front desk for a schedule of the movies playing and Campfire times during your stay. In the colder months of the year, take advantage of the cozy seating in the lobby and the fireplace. It's a great place to enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee. Another perk to staying at the Wilderness Lodge is the nightly Electric Water Pageant that takes place on Bay Lake. There are several locations at the Wilderness Lodge that offer amazing views and they also pipe in music. This happens nightly, but check with the Front Desk to find out what time it will be passing by the resort during your stay.

Buttons and Bells Arcade

No matter if the weather is hot, cold or rainy - another great hang out is the Buttons and Bells arcade. The arcade is spacious and offers both classic arcade games & contemporary games to please both adults and children. Challenge someone to a game of air hockey or jam out to your favorite song on guitar hero.

Fishing Tours

The Wilderness must be explored! What better place to get close and personal with the wilderness than the Wilderness Lodge, guests have the ability to enjoy a guided catch and release fishing tour without even leaving the comfort of their resort. The resort has its own Marina that offers guests both two and four hour guided tours with the ability to add on an additional hour if they would like upon arrival.

Fitness Center

The Sturdy Branches Health Club is located at the Boulder Creek Villas and is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week for guests, they will just need a Key to the World Card or a MagicBand(+) to enter. The Sturdy Branches Health Club boasts plenty of state of the art equipment from Life Fitness. Treadmills, bicycles and elliptical machines are available in addition to strength training equipment such as free weights and weight machines. For guests who prefer a little bit of entertainment while they work out the gym also has multiple televisions to watch.

For guests who prefer an outdoor workout, the beautiful and tranquil trails of the resort, make for a great jogging path. There are posted signs for jogging trails. There is one that is about a half mile and takes joggers past the Copper Creek Cabins. Just remember this is the Wilderness - so make sure to pack some bug spray and to watch out for the animals that also call the Wilderness their home in the lake, and various bodies of water!
