Take a trip back in time to visit some of your favorite parts of Pop Culture during your stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Pop Century is a sought after Value Resort that offers guests the convenience of the SkyLiner for quick and easy transportation to Hollywood Studios & Epcot while still being budget friendly. Buses are also available to take guests to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs.
Rooms
Pop Century rooms feature either a single King size bed that sleeps up to two adults or one Queen size bed and one pull down bed that can accommodate up to four adults. When choosing a room, guests have the option of a Standard room, a Preferred room, a Pool View room or a Preferred Pool View room. Preferred Rooms will leave guests conveniently located to the SkyLiner and Classic Hall.
Larger than life theming describes each decade that resort rooms at Pop Century Resort are broken into. Guests staying in the 90’s Section of the resort are welcomed by a three story tall computer and floppy disc, for those of you who don’t know what a floppy disk is, it was the 90’s version of the iCloud! In the 80’s section of the resort, guests are greeted by a giant Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head and Roger Rabbit. Guests staying in the 70’s section of the resort shrink down to the size of a foosball player with a larger than life foosball set up. In the 50’s section of the resort, stop to take a photo with Lady & the Tramp. The 60’s section of the resort is covered in peace signs & flowers and is the Preferred Section which gives guests a quick walk from both the Skyliner and lobby, but keep in mind that you will be closest to the Hippy Dippy Pool, which can be a little bit loud.
Dining
Everything POP Shopping and Dining opens daily at 7AM and offers guests the ability to order ahead through their My Disney Experience app. Lunch and Dinner have plenty of hearty options such as burgers, sandwiches, pizza, pasta and even comfort food like fried chicken and braised beef. For guests who prefer a lighter option, there are plenty of salads on the menu and even an impossible burger. This is where guests can refill their Resort Refillable mugs.
Petals Pool Bar is open daily from 11AM until 10:30PM and offers salads and sandwiches for a lighter meal, and a full bar for all of your favorite poolside essentials.
Pools
The Hippy Dippy Pool is 235,613 gallon groovy pool with far out flower shaped jets that shoot into the pool. This is the main feature pool at Pop Century and guests can participate in daily Cast Member lead activities like trivia, dance parties and relays. The Hippy Dippy Pool is located in the 60’s section of the resort closest to Classic Hall. Across from the Hippy Dippy Pool young travelers can enjoy a small kiddie pool.
In addition to the main feature pool, there are two additional leisure pools located throughout the resort. The Bowling Pool is located in the 50’s section of the resort and is shaped like a bowling pin. The Computer Pool is a computer shaped pool with a floppy disc & keypad, located in the furthest section of the resort in the 90’s section.
Recreation
Located across from Everything POP Shopping and Dining - the Fast Forward Arcade lets guests play games from all of their favorite decades, yes there are still some modern arcade games, but there's no better chance to play some of your old school favorites.
Guests are invited to roast complimentary marshmallows every night (weather permitting) from 5:30PM to 6:30PM at the camp fire pit by Surfer Goofy. At 7:30PM nightly guests can enjoy some of their favorite Disney movies at the Movie Under the Stars at the Hippy Dippy Pool. The 70’s section of the resort has a small playground for kids to play on, but there is also plenty of hub grass for children to run around and burn off any extra energy they may have. Unfortunately, POP Century does not have a fitness center for guests but there is a one mile jogging trail around the resort complex.
