Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort celebrates Southern Pacific culture and takes guests away to tropical paradise in the most magical place on earth. The Polynesian is most well-known for being one of three monorail resorts with direct access to the Magic Kingdom. This deluxe resort sits on the edge of the Seven Seas Lagoon, in between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The Polynesian also provides guests with a prime view of Magic Kingdom’s nighttime spectacular, in addition to the Electrical Water Pageant. Guests can find themselves with sand between their toes and a dole whip in hand as they enjoy Disney’s Enchantment soundtrack playing through the resort speakers while fireworks fill the sky.
Resort Rooms
The Polynesian offers an array of room options, from standard rooms to bungalows. It is also one of 9 resorts that offer Club Level rooms. The theming of the rooms is inspired by everyone’s favorite Wayfinder; you will find touches of Moana throughout, from wallpaper that looks like Maui’s tattoos, to a hidden Hei Hei by the coffee bar. All rooms come with standard amenities, to include television, table and chairs, coffee bar with coffee maker, safe, iron and ironing board, mini fridge, and more. Room views include Garden View, Lagoon View, and Theme Park View and can sleep between 4-5 people.
Club Level
At the heart of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort stands the King Kamehameha Club, the resort’s concierge lounge and club level rooms. Just like Club Level at other Deluxe Resorts, the King Kamehameha Club offers the concierge guests specialty services, such as assistance with making dining reservations and park reservations, as well as booking Genie+ and Lightning Lane. Club Lounge Cast Members go out of their way to make guests feel right at home. In addition to the concierge services, guests also get access to the King Kamehameha Club Level Lounge, which offers unlimited food and beverage options throughout the day. The Polynesian offers numerous dining options for its guests. From quick service to signature dining, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Guests staying at the Polynesian also have ease of access to dining locations at The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort, both of which are just a short monorail ride away.
Quick Service
Capt. Cook’s is the designated quick service dining location at the Polynesian, serving breakfast from as early as 7am to dinner and snacks as late at 11pm. This is also where guests can re-fill their refillable cups with soda, tea, or coffee.
Snack Locations
Pineapple Lanai is a beloved snack location for any Dole Whip lover. This snack spot located just outside of the Great Ceremonial House offers an assortment of Dole Whip flavors, from a classic pineapple float to seasonal flavors such as lime, raspberry, orange, and more!Kona Island is where you will find the infamous chocolate covered bacon. Additionally, they also service coffee and pastries in the morning, as well as to-go sushi rolls during lunch and dinner hours.
Bars & Lounges
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is the hidden gem of Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This bar is a fully interactive experience where drink orders turn into treasure hunts and stories come alive. Tiki Terrace is an outdoor bar which offers the same drinks that you can get inside the Grog Grotto, without the shenanigans. This is a great place to visit if you are unable to snatch a spot inside or are looking to have a quick drink.
Oasis Bar and Grill is a poolside bar located near the Oasis Pool. Oasis does offer a dining menu with starters, entrees, and desserts, in addition to specialty cocktails, Joffrey’s Coffee, Beer, Wine, Sangria, and non-alcoholic drinks.
Barefoot Pool Bar is a poolside bar located near the Lava Pool. This bar offers quick service dining options, in addition to a full bar menu, specialty drinks, non-alcoholic drinks, smoothies, coffee, and more!
Tambu Lounge is located on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House. This bar offers late night drinks, appetizers, and a great place to relax after a long park day.
Table Service
Kona Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offers continental cuisine with Asian inspired flavors. You can enjoy an open kitchen while watching sushi chefs work their magic.
‘Ohana is renowned for its all-you-care-to enjoy breakfast and dinner offerings with a Polynesian twist. Be sure to try out fan-favorites, ‘Ohana noodles and bread pudding!
Pools
If you’re looking for some down time in paradise, make your way over to one of two luxurious pools found at the resort.
Lava Pool is the large, main pool, which can be seen as soon as you exit the Great Ceremonial House. This pool features a 142-long water slide, zero-depth entry point, and a waterfall. Nearby, you will also find Bearfoot Pool Bar. This pool is perfect for families and offers plenty of recreational activities.Oasis Pool is a leisurely pool where you will find a quieter and calmer environment as completed to the Lava Pool. Nearby, you’ll find the Oasis Patio, a private shaded area which are available for first on a first-come, first-serve basis. This pool is perfect for guests looking to take a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the parks.
Recreation
In addition to taking a dip in the pool, the Polynesian offers plenty of other recreational activities. You can find yourself cruising around the Seven Seas Lagoon in a motorized boat rental from the Seven Seas Marina, in addition to guided fishing excursions and other water activities.
