Disney's Old Key West Resort

If you are looking for a calm and relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks while still being close to all of the Magic, Disney’s Old Key West Resort is just the place for you. Located just a short water taxi ride away from Disney Springs and right on Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, Disney’s Old Key West Resort is the a tranquil getaway from your vacation.

Resort Rooms

Old Key West has some of the largest rooms on Walt Disney Property that include Studios that sleep 4, one and two bedroom villas along with a 3 bedroom Grand Villa that can accommodate up to 12 adults. The theming and decor will have guests thinking they are on a relaxing beach vacation with light colored wood accents and photos of Minnie and Mickey relaxing on the beach - there might even be a hidden Mickey in your room (hint hint it's in the lifeguard stand).

All Studio Rooms feature a kitchenette, while Villas have a spacious kitchen, in room washer/dryer unit, multiple bathrooms and spacious patios/balconies. The resort offers both Standard and Preferred accommodations. The Preferred accommodations are just a short walk from the Hospitality House while the Standard accommodations will be a little bit more of a walk, but feel free to hop on any resort bus if you would like a quick ride to the Hospitality House which will always the last stop before heading to the parks.

Transportation

When getting to and from the parks there are 5 different bus stops at Old Key West Resort - leaving you a just a short walk from your building to the closest bus stop. Bus stops are located at the Hospitality House, Peninsular Road, South Point Road, Miller’s Road and Old Turtle Pond. If you prefer to drive, there are parking spots right outside of each building giving you quick and easy access to your vehicle. Want to take advantage of the Water Taxi? Enjoy a scenic ride to Disney Springs by catching a ride at the dock outside of the Hospitality House. Boats start running at 10AM from Old Key West Resort and the last boat from Disney Springs boards at 11:30PM.

Pools

Old Key West features 4 pools across the Resort. Right outside of the Hospitality House you will find the main Sandcastle Pool, which features a 125 foot Sandcastle Slide and a sand beach to lay out and soak up the sun. If swimming isn’t on the agenda, check out the dry sauna inside the lighthouse or the relaxing Whirlpool Spas located on the pool deck. The Sandcastle Pool area is also where you will find the nightly "Movies Under the Stars" and where Cast Member lead family friendly activities (weather permitting). Disney’s Old Key West Resort also features 3 smaller leisure pools located in Old Turtle Pond, South Point and Millers Road sections of the resort - each equipped with its own Whirlpool Spa.

Dining

Table Service

Daily Brunch is a vacation staple that doesn’t have to wait for the weekend! If you aren’t up for a short water taxi ride to Disney Springs - Old Key West's on resort restaurant, Olivia’s Cafe is open for Brunch & Dinner - featuring an Island inspired menu with nautical theming that will have you feeling like you are in the Keys.

Quick Service

For a quick but delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner option - Good’s Food To Go right near the main Sandcastle Pool - offers traditional staples like Mickey Waffles, sandwiches, salads and even some one of our favorite, pulled pork nachos.

Another great Quick Service option is the Old Turtle Pond. Here you will find the second quick service/pool bar Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks that is open for lunch daily. The menu features pizza, salads and sandwiches along with beer, wine, daiquiris and Pina Coladas. Both of these locations have Rapid Refill stations for your Resort Refillable mugs.

Poolside Bar

Right next door to Good’s Food To Go, you will find the Gurgling Suitcase, the resort pool bar. The Gurgling Suitcase is open until 11PM daily and is a traditional Key West Style Bar, with license plates and patches on the walls. At the Gurgling Suitcase you can also order off of a limited menu for food but the real star of the show is their featured drink the Turtle Krawl.

Exercise Facilities

If you're looking for a place to just take in the great outdoors - Old Key West offers a 1.37 jogging trail through the Golf Course Fairways and a state of the art Exercise room. The exercise rooms have it all from strength training equipment, ellipticals, bicycles, treadmills, a stair climber and even free weights. For travelers who would like to participate in more of a sports driven workout, the Conch Flats Community Hall has Volleyballs, Basketballs and Tennis Equipment that can be checked out and used on the courts at the resort. If a leisurely bike ride is more your speed, there are bicycles and survey bikes available to rent outside of the Hospitality House.

Recreational Activities

For our youngest travelers there are 3 different playgrounds at the resort. One near the main pool area outside of the Hospitality House, one in the pool area at Old Turtle Pond and another in the pool area at South Point. The Conch Flats Community Hall also has no shortage of activities for kids to participate in from art projects, to video games. There are also plenty of games to play like foosball, pool, shuffleboard, and ping pong. Next door to the Community Hall is where the Arcade is located with games such as Guitar Hero and Fruit Ninja.
