Disney's Coronado Springs Resort


Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a beautiful lakeside oasis that features a blend of Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American influences. Although this is a "Moderate Resort" - Coronado Springs has all of the features and luxuries of staying at a Deluxe Resort but at a Moderate Price.


Rooms

Coronado Springs Resort is broken up into three settlements: the Ranchos, the Cabanas and the Casitas along with the Gran Destino Tower. Standard rooms accommodate up to 4 guests and are located in the Ranchos and the Cabanas settlements, while preferred rooms are located in the Casitas section of the resort located closest to El Centro. 


Coronado Springs is the only Moderate Resort that can accommodate groups larger than 5. In the Casitas settlement, guests have the opportunity to stay in a 1 Bedroom Suite that sleeps up to 6 adults or an Executive Suite that can sleep up to 8 adults - in addition to a standard room that sleeps up to 4 adults. 

Gran Destino Tower offers guests rooms with either a single king sized bed or two queen sized beds with a Standard view that overlooks the resort's beautifully manicured grounds or a Water View room that overlooks the Lago Dorado. Gran Destino is home to the only Club Lounge at a Moderate Resort. Guests who choose to upgrade to Club Level accommodations and choose between a Standard Room, a Deluxe Suite or 1 Bedroom Suite that all sleep up to 4 adults or a Presidential Suite that can sleep up to 6 adults. The Club Lounge at Gran Destino Tower offers evening views of fireworks, and astounding rotating dishes for breakfast and evening appetizers in addition to juice, soda, beer, wine and evening cordials. 


Transportation 

Coronado Springs Resort has plenty of parking conveniently located at each Settlement in addition to in front of Gran Destino Tower for guests who choose to bring their own vehicle on their vacation. Each Settlement and Gran Destino Tower also have personal bus stops making it convenient to hop on a bus to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs regardless of where your room is. For guests who prefer a faster method of transportation, Minnie Vans can be ordered through the Lyft app. 


The Dig Site Pool

The Dig Site is home to Coronado Springs feature pool - The Lost City of Cibola - which has a 50 foot Pyramid that has a 123 foot long water slide! This is also where the largest hot tub on all of Walt Disney World property is located! It can accommodate up to 22 guests at a time but for our smaller archaeologists, there is a kiddie pool and an archaeologically themed playground. For some fun in the sun, the Dig Site is where Cast Members lead activities like trivia take place daily, and they even have a resort specific daily activity known as The Swimming of the Bulls. For guests who want to get out of the sun, the Iguana Arcade has tons of video games, pinball and air hockey in the air conditioning. For a poolside snack or drink, Siestas Cantina is open from 11AM to 10PM daily with appetizers, salads, and sandwiches along with both frozen and signature cocktails. 


Leisure Pools

Leisure Pools are also located in each of the 3 Settlements for guests who prefer a less adventurous atmosphere. The pools in the Cabanas, the Ranchos and the Casitas settlements are noticeably less crowded, and are a great place to relax in the quiet sun.


Quick Service Dining 

El Mercado de Coronado is a grab and go style quick service location at Coronado Springs that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7am to 11pm. Guests can quickly grab breakfast sandwiches in the morning or choose to have a fiesta bowl, pancakes or even some mickey waffles. Lunch and Dinner and has plenty of options for even the pickiest eater from flatbreads to rotating pasta dishes, sandwiches/burgers, nachos and chicken tenders. This is also where guests will be able to refill their resort refillable mugs. 


Laguna Bar is a great place to unwind after a long day at the convention center  or in the parks, it has beautiful views of the Lago Dorado and serves nachos, chicken wings and a couple of sandwiches along with having a full bar. 

Cafe Rix is open daily from 7AM until 12:30PM and serves gab and go options such as pastries, yogurts, fruits and other sweet treats. This is a great place to grab your morning cup of coffee, espresso or even a smoothie before hitting the parks or a convention. 


The Barcelona Lounge is located in the lower lobby of Gran Destino Tower and overlooks the lake. There is plenty of seating for guests to relax and enjoy a coffee, espresso or cocktail. Breakfast sandwiches are served until noon but guests can get their Cortado or Café Bombom fix as early as 6:30 in the morning. At 3:00PM it transitions into a lounge with appetizers and has spiked coffees, beer, cocktails and even a build your own gin and tonic drink menu. 


Table Service Dining

Three Bridges Bar and Grill located at Villa del Lago, is open for dinner daily and also offers mobile ordering for guests who prefer to take their dinner to go. The menu boasts latin influences like pork tacos and a spin on steak and frites and has plenty of shareable options like guacamole, cheese dip and roasted corn dip. 


Rix Sports Bar is located across from the Mercado de Coronado and is the perfect place for the sports fan. Rix is home to 31 televisions to watch all of your favorite sporting events and has an impressive beer and cocktail menu. Rix is open for breakfast serving avocado toast, french toast and some classics. When it comes to lunch and dinner there is an extensive selection of appetizers, salads and sandwiches. 


Maya Grille puts guests directly inside of a Mayan Temple at this Mexican inspired restaurant open for dinner daily. Guests can enjoy nachos, empanadas, salads and sizzling fajita skillets. Mayan Grill has an impressive wine selection featuring wines from Mexico, Argentina and Chile, but don’t worry if you aren’t a wine drinker they still have a great cocktail menu, we recommend trying the El Diablo.


Toledo - Tapas, Steak and Seafood is located on the top floor of Gran Destino Tower and offers some of the best views of Hollywood Studios. Guests can choose to order the Chef’s Signature Dinner for two or order off of the menu. We highly recommend ordering a variety of their Tapas(small plates) that they are known for.


Dahlia Lounge is the perfect place to stop and unwind to end a busy day. They are open from 5PM until midnight and have a tapas menu in addition to an extremely impressive cocktail and coffee menu. We highly recommend checking out the Dahlia Lounge for a late afternoon drink and appetizer to enjoy golden hour. 

 


Recreation

Guests are invited to the Dig Site from 5:30PM to 7PM nightly to enjoy a campfire with complimentary marshmallows to roast. S’mores kits are available to purchase. After the campfire at 8PM nightly on the Gran Destino Lawn guests can enjoy a Disney movie under the stars.


Colors of Coronado Painting Experience allows guests to paint their own masterpieces to bring home with them. This is located at Toledo - Tapas, Steakhouse and Seafood on Friday afternoons from 1PM-3PM. Reservations are required through the My Disney Experience app and the experience is $35 per person. While this is located in Toledo the bar and restaurant are not open for ordering. 


A Spanish Mosaic Art Class is located on the 16th Floor of Gran Destino Tower in the Dahlia Lounge on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1PM to 3PM where guests can express their artistic side while creating a one of a kind Disney inspired mosaic to bring home with them. Reservations can be made in the My Disney Experience app and costs $25 per person. One of our travel experts will be more than happy to make these reservations for you! 


La Vida Health Club

La Vida Health Club is located in the Gran Destino Tower and is a fully equipped, state of the art gym. Guests can choose from various cardio machines as well as weight machines and free weights. For guests who prefer a scenic run, jog or walk the loop around Lago  Dorado is a scenic .9 mile. Spa services are available to book such as Swedish massages, pregnancy massages and even couples massages in addition to facials. La Vida Salon offers hair appointments for cuts, colors and stylings in addition to manicures and pedicures. For adults and children, La Vida Salon offers Character Couture from 9AM to 5PM daily where guests can be made over to resemble their favorite princesses.
