Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani is home to over 200 animals and birds that roam the Savannas at the resort - even sometimes right outside your bedrooms window! Kidani is the newer of the two parts of Animal Kingdom Lodge and arguably has one of the best pools for children at the Walt Disney World resort.

Rooms

When staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge guests have the opportunity to either have a room that overlooks one of the beautiful Savannas or standard views that overlook the resort's beautifully manicured grounds and pool area. Studios accommodate up to 4 guests and feature a small kitchenette with a toaster, small refrigerator, and coffee maker. 1 bedroom villas, 2 bedroom villas and 3 bedroom grand villas offer guests some of the comforts of home with an in unit washer and dryer, full kitchen with all of the basics needed to cook and multiple bathrooms. All rooms come with a balcony to relax on and enjoy the beautiful resort.

Pools

Samawati Springs Pool has been given the honor of being one of the most sought after pools on Walt Disney World property for families with children. Make a splash and take a ride on the 128 foot long water slide into this large family friendly pool that features zero depth entry for even the smallest travelers to splash around in.Uwanja camp is a water playground with three different zones for children of all ages. The Base Camp section is for children eight and older to soak each other with water cannons. Five to seven year olds will have a blast at the Departure Zone that features a water tower. For our youngest travelers under four, the third zone, The Observation Station, gives children the opportunity to play in a shallow pool with geysers and some other water play toys. In addition, guests are always welcome to take a walk over to Jambo House to enjoy their pool that also has a water slide whenever they would like.

Dining

Sanaa is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is known for its infamous bread service and butter chicken, these are some of the Castle Bound Travel Experts "must haves" when staying at or visiting Animal Kingdom Lodge. Sanaa also offers a modified menu that is available for To-Go through the My Disney Experience app, and yes you can get the bread service to go and we HIGHLY recommend doing so! Sanaa Lounge is open from 11:30AM to 11PM daily and offers a variety of African wines, cocktails and a limited appetizer menu that includes bread service, a salad sampler and samosas. If you find yourself taking advantage of the pool, the Maji Pool Bar has a full bar and a menu with various sandwiches and salads to enjoy poolside. While Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani does not have a traditional quick service location, guests are welcome to venture over to Jambo House to visit the Mara.

Recreation

Pembe overlook is located near the Pembe Savanna. Pembe Savanna is home to Ostrich, Okapi, red river hogs and lots of other animals. At the Pembe Overlook guests are welcome to roast complimentary marshmallows from 5:30PM to 7PM daily at the campfire. Nearby on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8PM guests can also enjoy a movie under the stars. Kidani, unlike Jambo house, has a Community Hall for guests to enjoy arts and crafts, movies and activities like billiards. The Community Hall is also where guests can check out sports equipment and grilling tools to use at the communal grills at the resort. For travelers who like to stay active the resort has shuffleboard, a basketball court and two lit tennis courts.
