Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo

Home to over 30 different types of animals and some of the most culturally authentic theming - Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House design is all thanks to it's designer and Disney Legend, Joe Rohde. Jambo House is the ultimate relaxing staycation destination, with beautiful Savannas, top notch dining and relaxing pools. Resort days will NEED to be a part of your next stay to take in all that the resort has to offer.

Resort Rooms

Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House is the larger of the two Animal Kingdom Lodge resorts and is the perfect place for traveling groups of all sizes, having standard resort rooms that can accommodate 2 or 4 guests, 1 bedroom villas that sleep up to 5 adults, 2 bedroom villas that sleep up to 8 adults and 3 bedroom grand villas that can sleep up to 12 guests. When choosing a room, guests have the choice between a Standard View of the resort's beautifully manicured grounds or a Savanna View that overlooks one of the resort's 4 different Savannas. From a Savanna view room, guests can see zebras, giraffes, and some of the other animals that live at the resort. There is nothing better than waking up in the morning and enjoying your morning cup of coffee watching the sunrise over the Savanna, while the animals eat their breakfast.

Transportation

Complimentary buses are available to take guests to Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. These buses are shared between both Animal Kingdom Lodge resorts depending on the time of day. There is a large parking lot for guests who prefer to have their own vehicle and valet parking is available for an additional fee. Disney's "Minnie Van" service is also available to take guests anywhere on Walt Disney World property, booking and payment are done through the Lyft app and are subject to availability.

Pool

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House has one feature pool, the Uzima Springs Pool which is a zero entry pool with a gentle slope that is perfect for even the smallest travelers. Our more daring travelers will LOVE the 67 foot long water slide complimented by heavily shaded pool area for even the sunniest days. Guests are also welcome to take advantage of the Samawati Springs Pool located at Animal Kingdom Lodge Kidani.

Dining

Animal Kingdom Lodge is the most well known for its extremely sought after dessert the Zebra Dome that can be found at Boma. Boma is an extensive African inspired all you care to enjoy buffet, with options for both the most adventurous and the pickiest eater. Breakfast is served daily from 7:30AM to 11AM and serves dinner from 5PM to 9:30PM.

Overlooking Boma is Victoria Falls Lounge, which is the perfect place to unwind after a long day in the parks. The lounge offers an extensive menu of South African wines along with a full bar and small bites from 5PM to 10PM. Guests can choose to sit inside the lounge to enjoy their small plates and drinks or venture outside to the lounges fire pit.

Jiko The Cooking Place has a blend of African, Indian and Mediterranean cuisine and is known for its bold flavors. They are open for dinner daily with a menu that changes seasonally. If you find yourself traveling with some not so adventurous small travelers their menu offers pizza, and grilled meats for children. This is a fine dining experience so guests are expected to dress accordingly.

The Mara is located next to Pumbas Fun and Games Arcade and is the resort's only quick service location, and is where the resort's refillable mug station is located. Guests who are up early can enjoy coffee and other beverages along with pastries as early as 6:30AM, but traditional breakfast offerings are served from 7:30AM until 11. Lunch and dinner options such as sandwiches, flatbreads, salads and burgers are available from 11:30AM until 10PM. For guests who need a late night snack sandwiches and flatbreads are served until 11PM.  The Mara gives guests the ability to order ahead with mobile order through the My Disney Experience app.

Recreation

Unlike any other Disney Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge is home to 30+ different types of animals. Guests are invited to explore the different animal viewing areas throughout the resort, such as the various trails and the Flamingo area. In the lobby area of the resort there are several Savanna overlook locations with comfortable seating to relax and enjoy the Savanna, such as the rocking chairs on the lobby balcony.
