The 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company has primarily been celebrated on the west coast at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure up until this point! However, we are super excited to announce that this fall, Walt Disney World will be joining in to celebrate this monumental milestone on the East Coast.
Epcot will take center stage as the hub of the Disney100 Celebration at Walt Disney World. Starting September 22, guests can celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company to the fullest. An expansive mural featuring lots of the Disney100 characters will adorn the walkway to the World Showcase. Additionally, some of our favorite characters will be hidden throughout the park, so keep your eyes peeled and see if you can find them all! Speaking of characters, guests will finally be able to meet Minnie and Mickey in their platinum attire as they greet guests in the Imagination! Pavilion, right near Figment.
Spaceship Earth has undergone exciting new looks over the past year, sporting different colors, from shades of green to celebrate the earth, red, white, and blue for the Fourth of July, and even a rainbow. Now, Spaceship Earth will light up each night with special colors and lights accompanied by the Disney100 anthem, a new rendition of "When You Wish Upon a Star." You might just spot some "hidden Mickeys" on Spaceship Earth!
For popcorn bucket collectors, you'll be thrilled to know that there will be an eye-catching purple metallic Mickey Balloon Popcorn bucket available to add to your collection. This exclusive popcorn bucket will only be available at EPCOT during the Disney 100 celebration, running from September 22, 2023, through December 31, 2023. Moreover, in addition to the new booths debuting for Disney100 at the Food and Wine Festival, we are anticipating some special Disney100 surprises at this year's EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
Don't forget to visit the Disney100 signs located in each of the four Walt Disney World parks and the sign in Disney Springs leading up to September 22. It's not too late to book a trip to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company.
